Are you new to the Apple universe? The first step is to icloud sign up.
You’ll need an Apple ID if you have the greatest iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or even an Apple TV. With an Apple ID, you can sync your contacts, calendars, email, reminders, and other data across iCloud, as well as download and purchase applications, games, music, movies, TV shows, and more. In a nutshell, an Apple ID is your key to unlocking the full potential of the Apple ecosystem. In fact, without an Apple ID on your brand-new Apple device, whether it’s an iPhone 12 or an iPad Air, you’re unlikely to get very far. On the iPhone and iPad, here’s how to make a new Apple ID.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, icloud sign up.
- When you first set up your device, you can create a new Apple ID, or you can do it later in the App Store.
- When you first set up your device, you’ll need to create an Apple ID.
- “Forgot your password or don’t have an Apple ID?” will appear.
- Tap to make an Apple ID for free.
- Enter your name and choose your birthday. Next should be tapped.
- “Use your current email address” or “Get a free iCloud email address” are the options.
- When prompted, confirm your email address and enable two-factor authentication by following the onscreen instructions. You’ll be requested to do this later in Settings if you want to skip this step.
Use the App Store on your device to sign up icloud /Apple ID.
- Open the App Store and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Create a new Apple ID by tapping the Create New Apple ID button. Make sure you’re signed out of iCloud if you don’t see this option.
- Follow the instructions on the screen. Your new Apple ID will be the email address you give.
- Next, enter your credit card and billing information. You also have the option of selecting “None.” If None isn’t visible or you can’t choose it, learn what to do. You will not be charged until you complete a transaction.
- Please double-check your phone number. This can help you authenticate your identity and, if necessary, regain your account. Next should be tapped.
- Verify your email address by checking your email for a verification email from Apple.
You may use your Apple ID to sign in to the iTunes Store, App Store, and other Apple services like iCloud after you validate your email address.
On your Mac, create an Apple ID.
In the App Store or in your device settings, you can create a new Apple ID.
- Start by going to the App Store.
- Then select Create Apple ID after you’ve signed in. Make sure you’re signed out of iCloud if you don’t see this option.
- Follow the instructions on the screen. Your new Apple ID will be the email address you give.
- Click Continue after entering your credit card and billing information. You can also select None and find out what to do if None isn’t available or can’t be selected. You will only be charged when you make a transaction.
- Verify your email address by checking your email for a verification email from Apple.
You may use your new Apple ID to log into the App Store and other Apple services like iCloud after you validate your email address.
On your Windows PC, create an Apple ID.
- For Windows, open iTunes. Make sure you have the most recent version.
- Choose Account > Sign In from the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or the top of the iTunes window. Then select Create New Apple ID from the drop-down menu.
- Follow the instructions on the screen. Your new Apple ID will be the email address you give. *
- Click Continue after entering your credit card and billing information. You can also select None and find out what to do if None isn’t available or can’t be selected. You will only be charged when you make a transaction.
- Verify your email address by checking your email for a verification email from Apple.
Make a new Apple ID on a different device.
You may normally follow the instructions offered onscreen to create an Apple ID on an Apple TV, Android device, smart TV, or streaming device by entering your full name, date of birth, email address or phone number, and payment method. Led to activate.apple.com to create your Apple ID if you set up the Apple TV app on your smart TV. You can also create an Apple ID on the web by following the steps below.
On the web, create an Apple ID.
- Go to the Apple ID account page and click the “Edit” button. Make an Apple ID for yourself.
- Follow the instructions on the screen. Your new Apple ID will be the email address you give.
- Fill in a phone number that you can reach at any time.
- If you want to subscribe to Apple Updates, check the boxes. This keeps you informed about Apple’s latest news, software, products, and services.
- Continue by pressing the Enter key.
- Verify your email address and phone number by following the onscreen instructions.
You can use your new Apple ID to sign in to the iTunes Store and other Apple services like iCloud after you validate your email address.
If you get a message telling you that you need to sign in to iTunes, do so.
If you generated a new Apple ID on the web and received an error notice stating that you must sign in to iTunes, follow the steps below for your device:
Open Settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then tap “Sign in to the device” and enter your Apple ID.
- On a Mac, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Apple ID, then sign in using your Apple ID.
- Sign into the App Store, iTunes Store, or Apple Music with your Apple ID on an Apple TV.
- Login into iTunes using your Apple ID on a PC.
- Sign into Apple Music for Android with your Apple ID if you’re using an Android device.
