Use the Apple ID account page/iCloud password reset to reset your password.

Step 1: Go to apply. Apple id to get started. Reset your password by going to the centre of the page and clicking Forgot Apple ID or Password.

Resetting your password will be even easier if you set up and enabled two-factor authentication — which is different from two-step verification — because you’ll be able to do so directly from your trusted iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, or from the Apple ID account page.   2. To obtain a verification code, select a trusted device.
  3. Enter the verification code that was given to you.
  4. Choose Reset Password after creating a new password.

How to Set a new password for your iCloud account ?

If none of the previous steps worked and you’ve checked Apple System Status, you’ll need to change your Apple ID password. It’s inconvenient, but it usually solves the issue. On a Mac, changing your password is the most convenient option.

  • Go to appleid.apple.com on your web browser.
  • Select ‘Forgot your password?’ and then ‘Reset your password.’
  • Click Next after entering your Apple ID.
  • Click Next after selecting Email authentication or Answer Security Questions.
  • In the email, click Reset Password or answer the security questions.
  • In the New Password and Confirm Password fields, create a new password.
  • Reset your password by clicking the Reset Password button.
  • When your iPhone prompts you, try entering the new password. This should be agreed by the iPhone, and the issue should be resolved.

How do you change the password on your Apple ID?

  • Visit Apple’s forgot website and enter your Apple ID user name if you forgot your Apple ID password.
  • If you haven’t enabled two-step verification, you can reset your password by responding to an email sent to the addresses you provided when you signed up for the Apple ID, or by answering the three security questions that were asked when you created the Apple ID.
  • When using the latter option, you’ll also need to give your date of birth.

You’re out of luck if you’ve forgotten your password and lost your two-step verification code. Apple claims that the only way forward is to create a new Apple ID from scratch. Even Apple’s network can’t confirm a user’s identity.

  • Go to appleid.apple.com on your web browser.
  • Select ‘Forgot your password?’ and then ‘Reset your password.’
  • Click Next after entering your Apple ID.
  • Click Next after selecting Email authentication or Answer Security Questions.
  • In the email, click Reset Password or answer the security questions.
  • In the New Password and Confirm Password fields, create a new password.
  • Reset your password by clicking the Reset Password button.

If you’ve forgotten your Apple ID password, don’t worry. iCloud Password Reset

You can find the details of your Apple ID in Settings > iTunes & App Stores if you use it to buy apps and music on your iPhone or iPad. You can also find your Apple ID in Settings > iCloud > Account.

Alternatively, go to the forgot page and choose the link. Forgot Your Apple ID? You’ll then be asked for your first and last names, as well as the account’s email address (as well as any previous email addresses associated with your Apple ID, which can be helpful if you can’t access your email). An email with a password reset link will be sent to the account’s email addresses.
